This Interactive Display explains the meaning of each part of your water bill. Move the mouse over each red number and a description will appear in this window of that time. Naturally, you may also call the Town Office, either if the information is still not clear or you have questions about how the information was obtained (i.e., meter reading, rates, etc.)

Account Number

This number identifies your property in our records. When calling or writing to the Town Office, please have this account number handy.

Service Address

This is the physical street address to which water, sewage, and garbage service is provided.

Billing Date

The date that this bill was generated.

Date From

This first day of the billing cycle or the first day that service was provided. Items 4 and 5 together should correspond to the months printed in the lower left-hand corner, ending below the Total (in this case, Dec 03, Jan 04, Feb 04).

Date To

This last day of the billing cycle or the last day that service was provided.

Water

This line shows the water meter reading at the beginning of the billing period ("previous"), at the end of the billing period ("current"), and the amount of gallons used ("usage"), the difference between the two meter readings. The fourth number is the sub-total for water costs.

Sewer

The sub-total for sewer services. This is based on the amount of water used.

Garba

The flat-rate cost for curb-side twice a week garbage pickup.

Current:

Sub-total for the current billing period for water, sewer, and garbage services.

Total

Total amount due to the Town, including past-due balances.

Total amount due to the Town, if paid by the indicated date to the left.

Total amount due to the Town if the bill has not been received by the indicated date to the left. Note the late penalty.
